I had the privilege of knowing Bob, although our paths rarely crossed. Bob took me fishing on a few occasions, and there was one trip I would like to share.
Bob and I were fishing on Melton Hill Lake when we spotted an Osprey's nest high above a man-made tower. We were casting lures around the base of the tower, when, out of nowhere, a huge Osprey tried to "dive-bomb" us. That old bird must have had some youngsters and thought that Bob and I would climb up that 50 foot pole to disturb them.
We quickly got out of there and had a good laugh about escaping the "Talons of Death!"
Bob was a good fisherman and a good man.
