Tim,
I am sorry for your loss, I just learned of your father's passing--I use yahoo/gmail (drduane@gmail.com/drduaneb@yahoo.com) for my email now.
I never knew about his musical skills, and his WWII service. He was a very unique individual. I remember fondly having numerous conversations with him: "Let me speak to Turley."
You have followed in his footsteps. Your accomplishments must have made your Dad very happy.
Sincerely,
Duane

Just wanted to say what a pleasure and a priviledge it has been to know Jim. He was a tremendous friend to my dad and my mom. They really enjoyed each others' time together telling stories and sharing times. I am very sorry for your loss, but definitely Heaven's gain. Sincerely, Duan

My thoughts and prayers are with your family for your loss. Jim was a tremendous person. I worked with him when I first started at Oak Ridge and he was a great engineer, mentor, co-worker and most importantly a good friend. I will always remember his great smile and his great sense of humor. He will be missed by all of us!

Jim introduced us to old time music and to the Festival of Traditional Music at Berea. We will remember him always when we hear the fiddle music of the Southern Mountains, with a pang in our hearts and a smile on our faces. Through his life and his music, he added joy and happiness to the lives of others.

I loved each time he would call me
we would talk about everything. I
know your pain for I have lost my
dad and and a son. God always takes
his people home and one day we will
see them again. Donnie and I
cherish the tape of his music he
sent us. We always keep them in
our hearts. God always listens
and takes care of us.

I only had one conversation with Jim over the phone and is funny that he made you feel like part of his live in just a few words ( He was also very funny). I would have love to meet him in person, but I know through his son Tim and others, that he lives among them and it reflects very well. My deepest condolences and happines for all of you that got to know him!
