Carol and Steve and Nick I am sorry for your loss and I will be praying for you.

Pauline, Rex and their children -- especially Joycelyn -- are still so very fresh in our minds. Pauline was Carolyn's and my mother Mildred McNabb's college roommate. She was one of the very first adult friends that Carolyn and I had as children. Pauline and her family have always been like an extended family to us McNabbs. It's hard to imagine life without her in this world!

Growing up, Pauline was often in our home and we in hers. Mildred Taylor, Pauline's sister, had that same kind of relationship with our family too. Carolyn and I remember visiting Pauline and Mildred's Mother, Mrs. McGuffin, in her Harriman home. Wonderful memories.

When our Mother, Mildred McNabb, passed away, Pauline and Rex were so very loving and supportive of our Dad, George McNabb. Both of us girls lived far away -- Carolyn in Toronto, Ontario, and me in Minneapolis. George will never forget their kindness nor will we girls.

To this day, Joycelyn sends loaves of home-made rosemary bread to our Father, George McNabb, every year at Christmas. Our whole family is so much richer because of Pauline's life and her family's friendship!

She will be deeply missed by all of us!

Dear Mildred and all of Pauline's families, we just want to say that our memories of the Mcguffins go back to the house and pretty yard just across Clinton Street from old Harriman High Auditorium where Bob crossed the corner on the way to school and back for a lot of years. What a hill that was above on Clinton for sliding on the ice and snow in winter! It was so fast that we had to pile up a snowbank curve to get a sled turned left beside the school on Georgia Street. That is just one little memory of the great number your grand parents may have shared about growing up in a little Roane County town. We do share a little of your loss and sincerely hope you can dwell on the wonderful good memories of the love and events that Pauline shared with each and all of you, and others!
