Bobby Hugh Black, 79, of Oliver Springs, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Methodist Medical Center. He was born March 18, 1931 in Doyle, TN, the son of Hugh and Effie Taylor Black. Mr. Black retired from the Oak Ridge School System where he was a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #536 of Oliver Springs. Mr. Black enjoyed fishing and was a talented carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Buddy Black, wives, Betty Jean Black and Violet Black. He is survived by wife, Phyllis Ann Westphal Black with whom he would have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary March 16, 2011. He is also survived by: Son, Jerry Black and wife Wilma of Midtown; Step-son, Dr. Steve McDonald and wife Faye of Oliver Springs; Daughter, Dianna Dotson and husband, J. R. of Ducktown; Step-daughter, Judy McDonald of Atlanta, GA; Brothers, Don Black and Bill Black, both of Deerlodge; Sisters, Corrine Hughes and husband Richard, Betty Black and Patty DeBusk and husband Monty, all of Cleveland; 5 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; Special friends, Greg and Jane Jackson of Oliver Springs and Edd McDonald of Oak Ridge and his special little friend, Skeeter. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 – 8pm at Weatherford Mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 1:00pm at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating.
