Rosemary Stewart Eby

Rosie Eby went to be with Lord on May 4, 2017. She was born in Paducah, Kentucky to Howard and Hazel Stewart on May 10, 1925. She would have been 92 on Wednesday. She came to Oak Ridge in 1945, where she married Raimon Edwin Eby. They both worked for the war effort as young adults. In 1952 they moved back to Paducah, where Ray worked for the Union Carbide Nuclear Division. They returned to Oak Ridge in 1964.
Mrs. Eby loved Jesus and served him through her church, Grace Lutheran. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday School and Summer Bible School for children. She liked sending cards, flowers, and taking food to friends and family in need. Rosie was one of the original members of the Oak Ridge Children's Museum Guild. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Karen Eby Currey and her son, William Howard Eby. She is survived by her daughter Patti Eby Bacon (Michael) and son Robert Stewart Eby (Jean); son-in-law Jack Currey; daughter-in-law Kim Ferguson Eby; grandchildren Tom Currey, Noelle Currey, Jennifer Bacon Clark, Stephanie Bacon, Elizabeth Eby Mendoza, and William Gronstrom Eby; great-grandchildren Cohen and Cameron Clark, and Elena and Jeremiah Mendoza; and many nephews and nieces.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be in the form of donations to Grace Lutheran Church, 131 W. Gettysburg Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.

Receiving of friends will be at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge on Saturday evening May 6, from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will at Grace Lutheran Church in Oak Ridge on Sunday May 7, at 1 pm with interment afterward at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
