Ronnie Dale Crawford, 69, of the Solway community passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his home.
He was born July 23, 1947 in Knoxville, the son of Clyde Clifton Crawford and Hazel Lillian Smith Crawford.
He served as a Seabee with the US Navy. He was a member of Solway Baptist Church.
Mr. Crawford retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he was a supervisor. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed target shooting. He had been active with the Oak Ridge Sportsman Association and had served as past president.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Sandra Joan Crawford Wall.
He is survived by wife of 20 years, Darcella Watkins Crawford; daughter, Lisa Lynn McCord of Oak Ridge;
brother, Gregory Scot Crawford and wife Teresa of Knoxville; nephews, Anthony Crawford and wife Tekka and Samuel Crawford and wife Sarah, all of Knoxville and
grandchildren, Nicholas and Chelsie McCord, Alex Weaver and Mia Weaver and Christian Scott Weaver.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 11am – 1pm at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will begin at 1pm with Pastor Bobby Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family asks that any memorials in his memory be made to the Oak Ridge Sportsman Association or Solway Baptist Church.
