Rosmary Stewart died early Monday morning, February 20, 2017, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge at age 82. Her loving children surrounded her hospital bed when she passed peacefully.
Rosmary was born April 30, 1934 in Luthern, Switzerland to Anna and Hans Dubach. She has six siblings, Hans, Anne, Sepp, Aloise, Margrit and Bennedette.
She met and married James Stewart. They moved to Oak Ridge where they raised their 5 children. She worked at Methodist Medical Center for 24 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and walking around Oak Ridge. She faithfully attended St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her 5 children, Rebecca Manning (Ron) of Oliver Springs, Steven Stewart (Michelle) of Kingston, Margrit Rowley (James) of Weddington, North Carolina, Mark Stewart (Katie) of Oak Ridge, and Linda Dalton (Phil) of Knoxville. Her legacy lives on in her Grandchildren: Christopher (Heather), Jason, Lauren (Josh), Jenna, Ella, Marissa, Elaina, Nathan, Alex, Jacob, Ryan, Natalie, Nicholas and Ada. She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Matthew, Emily and Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stewart, her great granddaughter Kylie and 4 of her siblings, Hans, Anne, Sepp and Aloise.
Services will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday, March 11, 2017. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:30 with a funeral mass beginning at 11:30. Interment of ashes immediately following. A reception will be held in her honor in Columbus Hall at St. Mary's Church at the conclusion of the services. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church. An on-line guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
