Sharon Elizabeth Trahan, 70, of Knoxville, went home to be with our Lord and Savior February 28, 2017 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Sharon was born in Oak Ridge, TN to Charles and Francis Hester on April 27, 1946. She was the fourth of five children. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School. She was married to her first husband Earl Petree and had four beautiful children, Earl Jr (Boonie), Jeffrey, Stephanie and Lori. After Earl and her divorce, she found love again with James Trahan and had two more beautiful children Jamie and Jennifer in Pasadena, TX. Jim passed away and she moved her family to Knoxville, TN to raise them on her own for several years before she met Don Smith. Sharon enjoyed a simple life, she loved camping and being outdoors, picnics with family, flea markets and visiting yard sales. She was a collector of many different things, her most loved birds, Bibles, Dolls and musical instruments.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Charles Hester, and husbands, James Trahan and Don Smith. Sharon is survived by her siblings, Nancy (Midge) McKinney, Peggy (David) Jansen, Judy (Frank) Phillips, and Charles (Judy) Hester Jr.
Her children, Earl Petree Jr., Jeffrey (Sheryl) Petree, Stephanie Cusatis, Lori Kresky, Jamie (Brian) Moore, Jennifer Trahan and a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Parkwest Hospital and Tennova North Hospital for their support in her final days.
The family will receive friends at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge, TN on March 3, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Webb of Harvest Point Bible Church officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday at 10am for a graveside service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. An on-line guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
