Lee Douglas Hunt departed this life on July 30, 2010 at home after a ten-month battle with cancer. He was born in Gravelly, Arkansas and attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Arkansas. He worked at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas on the B-52 bomber and served on the Strategic Air Command Air Force Base in Blytheville, Arkansas with the equivalent rank of Captain. He worked in Iowa prior to moving to Oak Ridge in 1963, where he worked at X-10, K-25 and Y-12 for Union Carbide and Martin Marietta. He retired from Martin Marietta in 1989 after 26 years.
