Evie Loden Gilbert, age 87.
Born November 19, 1922 in Marion County, Alabama, a long-time resident of Oak Ridge and member of New York Avenue Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Clovis Loden and Nathan Loden.
Survivors include:
husband of 67 years, Elmer L. Gilbert;
daughters, Mary Nell Halcomb, Cordova, TN;
Donna (Mike) Weber, Franklin, TN;
grandchildren, Eric Weber, Nashville, TN;
Emily Weber, Spring Hill, TN;
twin sister, Ivie Howell, Haleyville, AL;
sisters, Lorene Gordon, Birmingham, AL;
Ruth Davis, Horn Lake, MS:
Ada Howell, Haleyville, AL;
numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to especially thank the caring staff of Briarcliff Healthcare Center.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, 3 PM in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with Harold Scott officiating. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, 1 PM- 3 PM at Weatherford Mortuary. An online guest book may be signed at weatherfordmortuary.com
