Montie C. Johnson, age 77, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Methodist Medical Center.
She was born July 12, 1934 in Sullivan County, TN, the daughter of James R. and Mamie Lowe Cooter.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church. She was very active in the social community of Briarcliff Health Care Center, where she was a resident.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Johnson in 1970.
She is survived by her mother, Mamie Lowe Cooter of Oak Ridge; son, Mike Johnson and wife Julie of Sewanee, TN; daughter, Vicki Crabtree and husband Wink of Knoxville; sisters, Ivie Pierfelice, Alice Stamey and her husband Charles and Christine Mahoney;
grandchildren, Zack Johnson, Trent Johnson and Katie Johnson and many close nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 6 – 8pm at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 8pm with Rev. Gregg Bostick officiating.
